Rachel Zoe

Favorite Stylist-Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe is who I want to be like one day. I definitely admire her for many reasons. She has the great career, amazing personal style, and just overall thorough knowledge of everything fashion. I think my personal style is a lot like Zoe’s. She definitely has a lot of bohemian influence in her style, but also likes structured jackets, extremely high platform heels, and beautiful bags and jewelry. Her waved blonde tresses are signature to her look. Like Rachel, I tend to emulate fashion from the 60s-70s era often, but I also like to be feminine and put together as well. She loves and wears a lot of vintage clothing and jewelry as well. Zoe has dressed some of the biggest actresses of our time, styles many photo shoots we see in magazines, and even has her own clothing line. She is fashion’s Wonder Woman and I definitely look to her because of this.

Above are some of my favorite looks of Rachel Zoe’s.

Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

And we were dressed from head to toe in love… the only label that never goes out of style.

—Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

Style Inspiration- SJP & Carrie Bradshaw

The characters on Sex and the City have become fashion inspiration for many women over the years. The show itself is one of my favorites, I never get tired of watching the episodes, even if I’ve seen them before. Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Carrie Bradshaw, is my favorite. Not only is SJP incredibly stylish in real life, but her fictional character Carrie is envied by many women because of her fabulous closet. Carrie’s style is so versatile, she’s elegant one moment, and the next moment she’s casually fashionable. Either way, she always looks great and her shoe closet is amazing. Carrie, like Parker, isn’t afraid to take chances when it comes to fashion, and I really admire that. Watching Carrie’s style evolve over the years of the show and then when they went on to make the Sex and the City movies, has been really fun to watch. She mixes high end designer clothes with vintage for a look that is personalized just for Carrie. I can’t honestly pick only a few of my favorite outfits of hers, so instead I will post pictures of some that I love. I do have to say that the beautiful Halston dresses she wore in the first Sex and the City movie are some of my top favorites. Quite a coincidence that Sarah Jessica Parker herself became the president of Halston’s Heritage’s line in 2010. (she has since left this position). That being said, I admire Parker for her great sense of personal style not only when she was playing Carrie, but in real life as well. I will forever envy Carrie’s clothing and the beautiful closet she created in her a Big’s home. She will always remain a style icon to me.

Met Gala 2012

Met Gala 2012

The Met Gala takes place every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year it took place on May, 7th 2012. It is a huge night for fashion, in which all of the influential designers, actors, and anyone who is big in the fashion world is present. This night is so huge because everyone is their best dressed and the fashion is amazing. Everyone from Anna Wintour to Mayor Michael Bloomberg was there.

I have a few favorites from the night, but the best dressed in my mind was definitely Beyoncé who wore a sheer Givenchy  dress with a purple ombre featured train. She looked wonderful and glowing, showing off her post baby figure.

Another Givenchy stunner, was model Coco Rocha who wore a vibrant yellow vintage two piece ensemble. She accented her outfit with her ombre pink hair that definitely stood out that night.

Bright yellow was definitely the color of the night, because it was worn by many, including Rocha, Solange Knowles, and January Jones

My favorite stylist, Rachel Zoe, created a unique dress that was worn by Karolina Kurkova, a shimmery nude colored gown that was just beautiful.

And lastly, the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson looked stunning in a Dolce & Gabbana, as usual.

Judging by my picks, looks like my favorite colors of the night were yellow and nudes as well.
